This is from last year with some minor alterations in preparation for print. It is a challenger for my favorite PT of which there are a few contenders. I posted one a bit similar the other day but the water drops and dark rain bent foliage as well as the subdued light all make it special for me.
And now, with some luck, it is on to the lady’s slippers tomorrow.
Nice Steve! Should make a Great print!

Thanks, Reed. I’ll have to try a few sizes to decide which is best for it.

That is one glorious trillium, and I can’t imagine the lighting being any better. Beautiful work!

Agreed! Subdued light, raindrops, just perfect. 🙂

Thanks, Lynn. I haven’t actually printed it yet so am not sure whether the light will be a challenge to get correct. I use a ColorMunki to calibrate both the display and printer so they should match but getting it on the first try isn’t something that happens often.

I don’t print at all but I took a workshop in printing long ago and remember seeing ColorMunki in action – such a cool thing. 🙂 But of course, it makes sense that it still doesn’t always emerge the way you want it to look. Light shining from behind the image, on a screen vs. light shining onto it, on paper – so different!!

It’s a beaut! What size do you normally print? Is it for your own consumption, or do you sell them?

Thanks, Dave.
Prints can be any size up to 16×20 from my printer. Larger would need to be either from a local print shop or an online printer. I am on both my website and Fine Art America where larger is available. I sell when I can. We really don’t have much room on our walls. Where I work I am able to hang a few as part of the store displays and occasionally someone buys one.
