My first thought was of a controlled burn. That’s very much the way it looks when they light the prairies, especially since a calm day’s the best for that kind of chore.

That’s interesting because this is just the opposite of a burn with wetness throughout.

It was so still aside from the sound of the brook running under the bridge I was standing upon. Yes, here too. It didn’t take long for the defroster to work though.

Really a dreamy, gentle mood you’ve brought us here. I’d like to see a crop of just the left half. The skeletons of the old trees are just wonderful.

I do that sometimes too. I try to train myself to go to the earliest dates and work forward but that doesn’t always happen.
