02.23.2020 Another ice abstract without the drama

Although my lower half was fairly soaked, there was no way I was calling it quits…at least not at 18 °.  A single number with a breeze, yeah then maybe.  🙂

This was on ice that was a little thicker and although still making noises was not going to break underfoot.

The angle I was standing for this was more color friendly although I did allow the White Balance to stay a bit cool.  There are some soft spots, focus-wise, as the most interesting details were somewhere nearer the bottom of the ice but you really have to pixel peep to notice them.

  1. Looking at the oval, I imagine a face pressed up against the ice from below.

  4. It looks alien, yet beautiful. Imagery to feed the imagination, which is always the best.

Beautiful – and my imagination has been prompted by the ‘celestial’ comment to see it as and angelic face (complete with a suggestion of radiance on the head) and shoulders/outspread wings below – getting carried away here!

The colors are wonderful. I see a woman reclining in a chaise and holding a balloon.
