  2. What a good thought: a reflection is indeed like a palindrome.

It works for me! Both as a visual palindrome and as an amazingly beautiful photograph. I just love this one, Steve.

That works for me Steve. It’s a fun thing of no real significance so why not?

I like the offset inlet, and the slightly blurred reflection. It’s interesting that the reflected trees seem to be somewhat darker than the ones on land. It might be an optical illusion, but it’s attractive and interesting.

    • Most reflections are a bit darker generally, especially on an overcast day. Also the water itself is naturally darker so has that effect on the reflection as well. One of the things jurors look for in judging is that difference. Evenly lit indicates what some consider unnatural processing.
There are a lot of interesting shoreline features in the Quabbin as it was a valley of many hills and small mountains before being filled.
