I just love seeing all of those tiny, tiny lines. These ice formations amaze me.

They are so rewarding. After photographing them for so many years, I still am awed by the variety and individual beauty many display. We are now in our third of several predicted “warm” days but the end of the week should at least see cold nights and more ice photograph possibilities.

Could be an aerial view of a city.

It does look like a city on a bay with wharves.

Spectacular. The intricate details are to get lost in.

Thank you very much. I am indeed having a great time. But no computer time other than to download and back up the images. You’ll be inundated soon enough.

Yes, it does although that isn’t what occurred to me while making the image. Thanks!

For some reason, this one reminds me of snowflakes. But, the highlight’s that chunk of clear ice in the bottom right that looks like a beautiful blue topaz.

That is what I was seeing initially also. And I definitely liked the “topaz” and made sure it stood out in the image.

A satellite image comes to mind, so many details to get lost in. Fun image, Steve!

Thanks, Eliza. Yes, there is a lot going on here. It was fun deciding what to include and it does remind of a view of a city below.
