09.13.2019 Frog Friday 4

Frog season won’t be with us much longer as they will soon head for winter’s mud hibernation.  For now I’ll take advantage of the opportunities and I hope you won’t get too bored with frogs. 🙂

Of course, summer’s passing doesn’t guarantee an end to Frog Fridays as I do have a couple archived.  🙂

I love frogs – cannot get too many of them, no worries!

  2. I’d have been tempted to reach in and remove that pine needle (or whatever it is), though of course the frog would’ve hopped away. On the other hand, you may favor the contrast between the broad curve and the circle of the frog’s eye that is internally tangent to it.

    • While I was not tempted to try to remove the piece of grass, I think, I did consider removing it in post. But I decided that I actually liked it draped over her. The way you tell him or her is the size of the tympanum. Smaller than the eye, a she…larger than the eye, a he. Actually, I’d have got soaked were I to try to remove it by hand. This was with the 400 +1.4 TC so a fair distance into the pond.

How could anyone get bored with frogs – I’ll miss mine when they’re no longer leaping out of the undergrowth at me!

    • Love Bob. Here’s two videos that I’ve shared a few times, most recently with Linda but I don’t think with you although I wouldn’t be surprised that you have already seen both. The second is always fun to see again.

and a classic parody. The palindromes are awesome.

      Enjoy your weekend. 🙂

I wouldn’t have removed that pine needle, because it may not be a pine needle. It might be Froggie’s Magic Twanger.
