Ah, solar fireworks. Appropriate indeed.
You made me notice the similarity between joy and July.

I hit the sack too early to photography the noisy kind but a neighbor will keep me awake firing off his. Fortunately Bentley seems unaffected by them.

Couldn’t agree more with your idea of the best fireworks. I hope you have a great 4th, Steve!

For the most part it’ll be a quiet one, Todd, aside from my neighbor’s display. Quiet and I get along quite well for most things. I am hoping for a repeat tomorrow morning. Have a great evening and if you go to see fireworks I hope they are spectacular. Or the night sky. That’s the best also.
Thanks!

Yes indeed, the best fireworks of all. Beautiful cloud pattern in front of the sun.

The clouds can be your friend, especially at limiting flares. No starburst though but the glow was beautiful. Thank, Michael. Glad you are distant from the tremors.

It’s to glow that makes it. Yes we are far from the tremors, but I have a friend down there I’m trying to get a hold of.

I hope all is well for your friend and for all the others too. I have heard no fatalities but nothing about injury and little about physical loss. There’s no good time for catastrophe but certainly not when folks are looking forward to celebrating a holiday.

Friends are fine. Broken picture frames and dishes. That’s all.

That’s good news. I hope the majority of folks affected by this can say the same.

Where there are fireworks, there always is smoke. I had to smile at your capture of both, although your smoke, too, is the more natural kind.

Your reference to smoke brought to mind many images with similar color and lighting I’ve seen in past years due to the wild fires in the west part of the country. In this case it was smoke of the harmless variety.
