03.12.2019 Quabbin Sunrise over Prescott Peninsula

It’s kind of hard to believe but I just did a search for sunrises from this location and Google only shows my shots.  It’s hard to believe there are no others so I guess they just don’t put them in the internet. There isn’t a lot of foreground interest besides the odd boulder, but it’s still a great view.  Good spot for a full moon rising too.

  1. That’s a nice seven-rayed starburst.

You’re right, this is a great view. And the foreground seems just enough.

I don’t think the boulder is odd at all; it’s just right. In fact (speaking of illusions), there’s almost a sense of the light being anchored at the rock. Maybe I’ve seen too many windmills with stars on top of them at Christmas — or just enough that this brings them to mind.
