Tomorrow is the first day of meteorological Spring, but the weather doesn’t realize that.  Teens again tonight which means ice yet again tomorrow morning.  I can only hope to see more of this.

I’ll let you know how it turns out.  🙂

I finally looked up meteorological spring. I’ve heard the term, but never paid much attention to it. What’s odd is that I don’t remember coming across the terms meteorological winter, summer, or fall. They don’t seem to have achieved the same degree of popularity with the general public.

It seems appropriate that this photo has some shades of green and brown in it: a touch of spring in the midst of winter, perhaps.

    • Like you, I have only heard meteorological attached to spring, but all the seasons get that attribute although not as popularly, I guess.

Spring doth creep a little closer daily. Sometimes we see the return of grackles and blackbirds about this time with robins not far behind but I think that will be delayed for a while. Having said that, we do have a small number of year round resident robins…and Canada geese for that matter too.

  2. There’s that appealing contrast again between the crystalline and the flowing.
