10.12.2018 just a hello

Wanted to let you know why I haven’t been participating.  I have been in the hospital since Saturday. We don’t know what is wrong with me although it seems that I am getting better.  Hopefully I’ll get out of here soon.

Sorry to hear of your recent diversion!! Hope all is proving to be just a minor side step & you’re feeling better. Anxiously awaiting your fall perspectives. Take care!

  6. I hope you’re resting up and feeling better soon, Steve.

  7. Like everyone else here, I too was wondering where you had been. Are you in Boston, or closer to home? Joanna and I were ‘out West’ for a bit and I’m anxiously awaiting your impressions of the images from there. Also, in our absence, I’ve had an existential crisis – regarding cameras! I needed your good opinions. Came very close to turning my D600 in for a D750 – long story. Best wishes for a quick and complete recovery. As Faith pointed out … fall color is upon us.

  12. Gee whiz, Steve, I am so sorry that you have are in hospital with something but not knowing what exactly is wrong. Sure hope it is not a tick disease. 14. Well,we know what it was…West Nile. But the prognosis is okay. I just have to make up for the almost 20# I lost in both weight and strength.

  15. Wow West Nile that’s nuts Steve glad they found and can treat it !!

  16. How about an update? How are you getting along?

  17. Oh … if I had just read … West Nile! I’m so glad they were able to diagnose quickly. I hope you are feeling better.

    • I am doing better but only incrementally so. It will be a long process unfortunately.

      • You are lucky to have been diagnosed so quickly. I’ve heard that, as we get closer to flu season, cases of West Nile are often misdiagnosed as flu. I’m very glad that you are on the mend. And, remember, it’s not a race …. slow and steady … you’ll be back in the woods before you know it.

  18. Thanks to all for your well wishes. Progress is slow, but I am making some. Will be a while.

  19. Just found out about your health issues, and I am so sorry to hear how sick you have been! send a FB friend request; we used to be friends but i had deleted my account when all that hacking nonsense happened. Take care, Steve!
