  4. Nice. Our spring had been reluctant – but is here now, for real. I think the first Black flies may have found me just yesterday. I haven’t yet figured out why it is that I haven’t made time for blogging lately – but I’ve now got some images in the queue. Now I’ve got to find a few words to accompany them. I hope you are well.

    • Although it has taken me two months to reply, I was very glad to hear from you David and look forward to seeing more of your photography. Sometimes it takes a lot to get me motivated to participate in blogging. Not sure why that is, although I get so much spam that frustrates me is certainly a part of it.

      • Is there no mechanism to BLOCK comments or likes that you think to be spam or otherwise automatically generated?

      • WordPress’s spam filter does intercept a fair amount of nuisance comments…such as porn and fake SEO improvements. Most come from obviously non-English speaking countries. But a few seemingly innocuous comments get through that are also not germane to the post. I’ve stopped clicking those folks which I ordinarily do to see who is whom.

      • I’ve considered turning off comments, several times. Mostly (don’t tell anyone) because my most frequent comments come from my MOTHER and my SISTER! How embarrassing and demoralizing. I’m not willing to follow (without real interest) 100s or even 1000s of folks simply to get their follows, likes, and comments in return. I think what all this says is that I’m not a true blogger at heart. Ok … another matter … tell me again how you have your images printed. I’d like to have a few done up for ‘pretty.’

      • I have too, but there are several folks, such as yourself, whom I like to hear from. I get loads of “is now following your blog” notifications from people or entities who want something from me other than mutual blog appreciation. Like you, it’s in the hundreds and I don’t bother following the brad crumbs to see.
No relatives comment here although several do on Facebook.

And very welcome it is too. I of course can see it 365 days of the year.
