This is another spot that I enjoy photographing repeatedly. Here is a post from last year.
In this case I was able to get to shore level due to our low water currently. I employed a long exposure to smooth the water’s motion from a constant breeze…note the motion of the right-most orange tree. Last year’s post linked above was shot at road level, Route 122, and at an angle shooting down. I prefer this and the nice reflection.
One problem with hiking along a shoreline that is usually underwater is the ankle deep muck in places. I still haven’t removed it all from my boots.
Tomorrow is predicted to be pretty rainy. Fingers crossed and maybe Monday will be a day for stream photography.

I got stopped at a flowing creek at the Tallgrass Prairie today. If I’d had my boots on, I would have given it a shot, but I wasn’t willling to take on the muck in only hiking boots — especially since it was a long step.
The photo’s just gorgeous. I like the reflection particularly. Colors like that deserve repetition.

I hadn’t planned on the muck or would have worn my Muck Boots. There were rocks and broken branches along the way which kept me from sinking in most of the time but I did sink above the ankles once or twice.
Thanks. I used the Neutral Density filter to smooth the water because the breeze made the water so choppy that the reflection was more of an abstract.

Thanks, Yvonne. I sometimes rue not have the majestic west as a resource but with a little work and observation we do have some pretty nice scenery hereabouts too.

Bad luck on the muck, but it does wash off and well worth getting this shot for now I am yucking it up.

Thanks, Todd. It was a different view at water level than the one I usually get from above. Low water, while regrettable, does have its advantages at times.
