After a cloudy start on Mount Pollux, things got better high in the sky.
Just gorgeous, and almost exactly the color of our moon this morning. It seems as though the branches are reaching out, trying to tangle it into their woody web.

Thanks, Linda. I wasn’t thinking of a tangled scenario, but I did want a relationship between the tree and moon. I made a couple of others which may show up…or not. 🙂
Was it that orange color? I’m seeing a very filtered and orange moon tonight.
Once it rose above the clouds it was still in the warm setting sunlight. Earlier, as it rose through the clouds, it was filtered and a bit redder. I used a Daylight white balance, so that warms the color a little.
You caught the right balance of bright moon, blue-indigo sky, and barely visible dark foliage.
Thanks, Steve. That’s just what I was looking for and I had a few folks, such as those above, decide to stop and look at what I was photographing. Aiming above them helped.
It turned out much better than I expected after the cloudy beginning. Thanks, Yvonne.
This is fabulous, Steve. Breathtaking. I love the color of the sky, and the relationship between that moon and the trees is perfect.
Thanks, Melissa. Blue hour is magical.
It sure is.
