Just gorgeous, and almost exactly the color of our moon this morning. It seems as though the branches are reaching out, trying to tangle it into their woody web.

Was it that orange color? I’m seeing a very filtered and orange moon tonight.

    • Once it rose above the clouds it was still in the warm setting sunlight. Earlier, as it rose through the clouds, it was filtered and a bit redder. I used a Daylight white balance, so that warms the color a little.

  3. You caught the right balance of bright moon, blue-indigo sky, and barely visible dark foliage.

  4. This is fabulous, Steve. Breathtaking. I love the color of the sky, and the relationship between that moon and the trees is perfect.
