Because I’ve posted about a native plant called zexmenia, every year I get a bunch of hits from people searching for “sex mania.” I’ve imagined how let down they are when they get taken to a page about botany, but so far no one has posted a hate-mail-style comment.

Perhaps the original spelling of the now-common term “insects” had only one letter instead of the final three, and it somehow was lost in the hustle to familiarize people with why they are so prolific and ubiquitous. After all, in the end, love conquers all.
