In celebration, Rocky will play the harmonica to the tune of “Getting to Know You”.
Fabulous. I for one love squirrels. Great portrait.
This was at the Quabbin orchard, James.
I can almost feel his fur. I love the miniature harmonica
I think it is a “Sunflower” brand harmonica, Rod.
Adorable . . . I am also a huge squirrel fan. 🙂
So am I, Laura. Although I am not always a fan when they are gnawing away at our tube feeder ports.

Beautiful shot. And lovely, harmonizing, backdrop. Simply nice to look at. Easy on the eyes somehow.
Squirrels are so entertaining. They seem to have individual personalities. I once made a furniture delivery to a home and, as I was leaving, a gray squirrel was sitting in front of the door. I told the lady that I didn’t want to go out as it appeared the squirrel might run into the house. She said “Oh, that’s George. He always comes in. We have a dish of nuts on the table for him”. Sure enough, he ran in, jumped up on the sofa and ate nuts out of the dish on the end table.
I have a few shots of this guy from that day a few years back. He was quite obliging.

I’m going to read this reply to Joanna right now … , … she laughed and responded ‘cool.’ Cool indeed.
Oh boy! This is my kind of photograph. The colors are perfect and the picture is too. I wish you would do more such as these. How about focusing on the frogs also and make some similar ones like this. The colors are right up my alley. Simply gorgeous. A sunflower brand harmonica. Bet it plays some seedy sounding music.
I glad you enjoyed this, Yvonne. Most of the frogs I see are either in the water or among leaves etc. I’ve not had much luck with any that have some isolation involved. I’ll see if I have something akin to this to share.
Thanks for getting my joke. 🙂
❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ 😀
So you like this, Lottie? 🙂
Our squirrels must have heard the news. They’ve been very frisky chasing about in the trees today.
Kinda like this, Jim?
Well…not exactly…but close.
Everyone wants to come to the Squirrel Appreciation Day party — even this guy.
I’ll bet he turns out to be the life of the party.
Well done. I’m sure the squirrel is proud.
He appears a bit flushed after two encores, Lyle.
Happy SAD. Elwood Blues Squirrel – one of the gray Blues Brothers
So do squirrels get the blues from seasonal affective disorder (SAD)?
Not this guy, Steve.
Elwood! I thought he looked familiar.
Isn’t there a typo in your song title, and shouldn’t it be “Getting to Gnaw You”?
Elwood is more of a nibbler, I think.
Adorable littel chap Steve ❤ Lucky you!
That he was, Sandra. I prefer our reds over the greys, but they are not nearly as cute as yours with their tufted ears.
Awww, so cute! I really like the line running through the rock(?) he is sitting on, and the brown background.
Aren’t they? Yes, that is a rock. He was squirreling in and out of the spaces between the rocks and putting on a fine show.
