08.09.2014 Bridge View

One of Amherst’s conservation trails takes us over Hop Brook near the Norwottuck Rail Trail where I hike and visit the Poor Farm Swamp and the Brickyard Conservation area.  I’ve wanted to make some images from the bridge but conditions seem to not work for me very often.  Today was not too bad, but there was a nice bank of fog hiding the distant mountains and the sky could use some of Andrew’s HK clouds.  So I’ll try again.

But, for now:Hop-Brook-from-KC-Trail-Bridge-080914-600Web

  1. Andrew says:

I’ll send some clouds over Steve but it looks good enough as it is.

  2. That’s a good juxtaposition of the fallen trunk with the one that’s still standing. Did you take any closer pictures showing details of either?

  3. Just Rod says:

I like the depth in this image Steve. Also the dash of purple across the sky is a lovely hue. Are there really mountains?
