01.16.2014 Bubbles and Drips frozen in Time

Trying to stay seasonal here, but this winter is not cooperating.  Here’s a nice winter abstract to keep things going.  I’ve been posting it all over the place, so many of you will have seen it.  Unless things cool off soon…and they should for this weekend…offerings will remain lean until Spring.  Fingers and eyes crossed.

This is my second successful dive into a ditch for an image.  The previous is here.  Frozen-Bubbles-800WebEvery once in a while I decide to get fancy with the presentation. 🙄

    Honestly this one looks eerie just as the “finger” ice photo. Amazing shot and I suppose a bit of editing? It is a good one for sure.

      Thanks, Yvonne. Except for converting to B&W, sharpening and adjusting some contrasts there is not too much processing in this one….although to some folks who don’t enjoy processing that is a lot. 🙂

      Thanks, Lottie. I am sure it is better in small doses. 🙂 I went out this morning looking for more, but it has been so warm and windy that the ice is just frozen mush and is covered with bits of everything that falls in a forest.

    You are getting lots of traction
    With your doses of abstraction.

    That’s a nice contrast between the larger blobs at the bottom and the smaller (and therefore also more numerous) ones across the top.

    This is definitely my favourite of your series. It has it all: frozen drops, patterns, shapes and it works pefectly well in B&W.
    You seem to be playing with frames a lot recently 😉
