  4. Beautiful and unusual. I tried to figure out what these are and I am probably wrong but these appear to be leaves. I like the colors very much..

Excellent leaf and frost image – the combination of frosty lines is a neat design. Yes, the brown/black/white season is upon us! Wish I’d seen more frost – just that touch of it a few weeks back.

Gorgeous, shapes, colour and textures. And so crisp that I can almost hear the sound of the frost on those leaves – maybe I’m going totally nuts (this camping situ is getting to me!!)

    • Thanks, Lottie. With all you have on your hands, I do appreciate you taking the time to look and comment. I hope it is not too cold there in Espana…I just saw your FB fire post. ๐Ÿ™‚

The days are beautifully sunny and mild, warm even but as soon as the sun goes down it’s very chilly – we are quite high up here. The fire was lovely but I was terrified that the chimney might catch fire during the night so haven’t slept too well! I’m up to my usual insomnia tricks again ๐Ÿ˜€

      • Considering the condition of the house, I think a chimney cleaning is in order and don’t blame you for worrying. I had a neighbor who would purposely burn his chimney rather than hire a swift. Crazy but it worked. Don’t try that at home.

We had the chimney cleaned, it was quite an experience. One of the men ran along the roof and the other went into the house to the fireplace – they then stuffed a whole load of olive branches up the chimney on a rope and then kept pulling and pushing until all the soot had come out. The only problem was the guy on the roof leant on the chimney and it snapped off! One more thing that now needs fixing! ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • Congratulations…you have officially bought yourself a money pit. But I am pretty sure you knew what you were getting into from the start.

  12. Brown is definitely a color, and it comes in as many shades as any other.

Happy frost to you: I don’t miss the cold, but it gives you chances to play (photographically) that we don’t often get in a warmer climate.
