08.05.2013 Monochrome Monday

No guarantee that this will be an every Monday thing or an any other Monday thing for that matter.  Just three images from yesterday that all seemed well-suited for B&W.  I’m feeling kind of quiet today, so just images and no repartee.

  1. Very nice monochrome work, Steve.

  2. Andrew says:

Bully is becoming a real star. Does he get royalties?

  3. Monocrome is always serene yet a bit dramatic in some odd manner. The bull frog is handsome and would make a fine prince.

    • Thank you, Yvonne. Yes, he is a fine looker of a frog. They do each have their own special look with different spots and leg patterns. I’m not sure I’ve recognized any from previous meetings however.

  4. If it weren’t for the froggie, this could have been an entrée (i.e. entry) for a Meatless Monday as well. (I hope you don’t mind that I provided some of the repartée that you forwent.)

  5. Just Rod says:

Mr Frog is certainly a fine looking fellow (assuming its a male?) He makes a very good monochromatic subject. Should subjects be monochromatic or royalty I wonder. Monochromatic Monday – terracotta Tuesday perhaps – wintergreen Wednesday – – –

  6. Sandra says:

A very nice and versatile monochrome series. The second one is my favourite – it looks great in B&W!

  7. They are really wonderful Steve but I am partial to the Queen-Annes-Lace,nicely done !!

  8. These are really beautiful Steve, I love the lily.

  9. I’m having a hard time keeping up with all the posting you’ve been doing lately, but these black and whites are well-composed and powerful Steve.
