Well, I just checked out Phil Lanoue’s most recent post regarding a Green Heron. For no particular reason, aside from the species, it made me think of this image. So this is for you, Phil. 🙂 I hope folks who like birds and crocs and swamps/salt marshes in general will take a look at Phil’s blog. 🙂 Really…who doesn’t like a good croc image?
So here is my offering although maybe some will think it in poor taste. 🙂 I don’t think this greenie was too happy about be paparazzi’d.So I am not a big one on milestones, but WP just informed me that this is post #100. It probably took me twice as long as most other folks to get to that number. 🙂
Ha! That Great! The bird’s face totally and perfectly matches the um, er, action, that’s taking place. 😀 He does not look at all happy about being disturbed at this particular time when nature calls.
And hey Steve thanks very much for the mention and endorsement of my blog I greatly appreciate that!

Happy to help, Phil. I really like your images. That said, I don’t imagine my endorsement will lead to your ability to buy yourself a tropical island. 🙂

AS the saying goes: has the bottom dropped out of your world? Take milk of magnesia and let the world drop out of your bottom. 100 up? Onwards to 200, Steve.

Interesting that “milk” is part of your reply as that is exactly the appearance. I’ll get a fresh start on the next hundred soon, but I know you will be leaving me in your dust. Thanks, Andrew.

😀 He looks very unimpressed at being interrupted at such a crucial moment!

Very true, Lucy. I suppose I was a trifle rude to be so prying into his personal moment. 🙂

All things in nature have a beginning and an end-ing. It’s not possible to have timed a shot such as this one. 🙂 Hope to see 100’s more of your photos. And I very much like reading what you have written to accompany your posts.
I misssed this post when I did not have any email for several days. Sorry that this is a late comment.

Thanks, Yvonne. I hope to post 100s more too. 🙂 Sorry you lost your email service for a while. A friend on FB was bemoaning how we have bought the idea we need all this instant communications and feel lost when it goes off line. I remember having to ask an operator to connect me with a specific person and wait while she, Enestine-like, took the cable and popped it into the right spot. 🙂 At any rate, your absence is always noticed and your presence appreciated. 🙂

Yes, our little greenie is not happy at being observed and whatever synonym for “annoyed” you might be referring to…very similar to the pictured activity I am guessing…I am sure is being projected.
Well, I do hope that some day you can congratulate me on reaching 100, Pen. But for now I am happy with the century milestone of posting. I got off to a very slow start.
Maybe now that I “approved” your posts they will no longer get dumped in the spam bin. Let us pray. 🙂

Do you think this was one of those decisive moments that Henri Cartier-Bresson had in mind?
As for number 100: better a milestone on your blog than a millstone around your neck.

I think so….although I don’t think this would be his chosen subject matter.
