It had been my intention to post a few more Autumn shots, but I thought this one from this morning would work and the Autumn shots will follow.
I started the morning before dawn with the hopes of photographing the Quabbin Tower during “Blue Hour”. When I arrived there, however, the sky was filled with mist and there was no blue to be seen. Although the vista is too cluttered for a sunrise shot, I noticed the color building in one of the tower windows and made this image. Although it is not what I set out to do, I am pretty pleased even if it is not a strictly Nature image. Just goes to show that we should always be open to what Nature presents and not only what we have predetermined we would do. 🙂
The picture is so good that it seems as if the sunrise is painted on the window panes. Beautiful shot. You should be very proud. I don’t se why the pic can’t be called a nature shot. The version is a bit different but the ultimate goal is the same.

Thank you, Yvonne.
When I speak of my shots as nature photography I prefer there to be as little “hand of man” as possible. This does not quite meet that definition. 🙂

Well yes ,you are correct about true nature shots but I still think that one is pretty special.

All it needs is a bird flying in the reflected sky 😉
Seriously, very well conceived, Steve.
