07.18.10 Sunrise in New Salem

There’s a popular little turnout along route 202 in New Salem that offers a great panoramic view of the upper Quabbin Valley watershed as well as several nice mountains.  It’s a very nice spot to catch the sunrise throughout the year.

Beautiful sky – lovely light on the clouds, nice foreground.

Seems like every time I see a colorful sky there are contrails in it – I live near Hanscomb AFB!
