07.01.10 Mount Katahdin from Sunday Pond, Baxter State Park

I’ll be heading up to Northern Maine Saturday to visit my friends Mark and Anita who, besides leading workshops there specializing in Moose photography for many years now, have moved to Millinocket to enjoy the moose and surrounding beauty year round.  A trip I’ve very much been looking forward to.

Here’s a shot from two years ago of Mount Katahdin looking over Sunday Pond.  Katahdin is the end point for many who hike the length of the Appalachian Trail starting in Georgia as well as the dominant feature as one views Baxter State Park from the surrounding lands.  I hope to get a few more views of this magnificent mountain.  And maybe a moose or two as well.
